What does SEO stand for?

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization.  A search engine is a service to match an online query with the best answer.  Google, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuck Go are all search engines.  In the UK Google is by far, the most used search engine, with 92.62% of the market share.  When a business engages in SEO it is in an attempt to get a page to rank higher in a search engine’s SERPs (search engine results pages), with the ultimate goal being to increase organic (unpaid) traffic to that page.
